CONCEPT
Imagine stepping outside the stream of time. Allow yourself to see beyond your slice of nowโto the future as it drips over the horizon and into the present, and to the past after it slips away into the sediment of history. Does fate march unceasingly to meet us in the present, or can our actions radiate into the future?
GEOMETRY of TIME
Imagine if each frame of a video were stacked on top of one another like pages in a flipbook. On the outside of the book most of the individual frames are not visible. Instead, only the outermost pixels can be seen, producing patterns only observable from outside of the stream of time. Want to see the past? Simply look to your right. The future? On your left. The timestream disappears into the horizon in either direction.
A slice is cut into the timestream revealing the current moment. This is an onramp for the viewer, clarifying the relationship between the video they are familiar with and the new perspective outside of time.
